Integral+

In cooperation with the Lübeck University of Applied Sciences and the RWTH Aachen University, Kiron is implementing the pilot research and development project INTEGRAL+, which is short for "Integration and Participation of Refugees in the Context of Digital Teaching and Learning Scenarios” ("Integration und Teilhabe von Geflüchteten im Rahmen von digitalen Lehr- und Lernszenarien”).

The project is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and enables Kiron to test and refine its innovative educational model together with its partners.

  During the 14 months from October 2017 to December 2018, INTEGRAL+ is pursuing the following objectives:
  Conception, testing and evaluation of self-paced online propaedeutic courses with involvement of digital certificates of achievement for the general and subject specific preparation of refugees for studies at German universities
  Conception, testing and evaluation of MOOCs, in order to enable the target group full basic studies as well as a target group related preparation for the test situation at German universities, with involvement of multistage exam formats and self assessments
  Conception, testing and evaluation of quality assured Open Educational Resources in MOOCs
  Further development of digital and competence-oriented examination systems during the semester and finishing at the end of the semester
  Conception, testing and evaluation of innovative certification technologies
  Documentation and publication of the results of the part of the project as well as the close exchange with Kiron and the RWTH Aachen to ensure the sustainability and transferability of the results in the university landscape and to further target groups
